Jan Pautsch
Strategic Talent Partner and Headhunter specializing in Experience Design & Digital Transformation / Global Network / Berlin based.

My mission is to design genuine personal relationships in an ever-changing technology- and transaction-driven recruiting landscape. Putting the 'Human' back in 'Human Capital'.

Coming from the industry, I understand it’s evolution and it’s needs and provide a bespoke consulting service for the talent acquisition needs of blue-chip tech-brands, management consultancies & their innovation hubs, service design agencies and tech-startups.

Currently I run Cogs Berlin and head up their design practice in Germany. Cogs is a global specialist talent consultancy in the product, design and transformation space with offices in London, Hong Kong, Singapore, Shenzhen and Berlin.

Prior to joining Cogs, I have held business leadership and executive design positions in Aperto - An IBM Company, Scholz & Friends and argonauten G2. I led design on projects such as the Global Digital Design Framework for Volkswagen {Design 4.0}, The Digital Concert Hall of the Berlin Philharmonics and the digital platform of Volkswagen’s first transmedia storytelling campaign ‘Rally the World’. Me and my teams have won more than 60 international awards. In an interview with Lürzer's Archive I shared experiences from this time. You can read it here.

I’m a member of the International Academy of Digital Art and Science, juror of the Lovie and Webby Awards and I volunteer for Ironhack and ReDI School. I’m a certified Systemic Business Coach (BC)®.

Here is an interview with me about Cogs Berlin and the Berlin digital market. More background to my career from designer to headhunter can be found in this Interview with the University of the Arts London. For a detailed overview of my work experience, please visit my LinkedIn Profile.
