SOULWORX ENERGIZER

SOULWORX ENERGIZER is a successful communication format developed by digital expert and change agent Julia von Winterfeldt. She has created a fantastic experimental space for direct and condensed communication at eye level in an atmospheric round. It is all about cultural change and the future of work. And this monthly with like-minded people: managers and experts, entrepreneurs and artists, founders and business philosophers, thought leaders, thinkers and doers. The event takes place in "Zippelhaus 4" - a creative space in Hamburg.

I was delighted to receive Julia von Winterfeldt's invitation to participate in her SOULWORX ENERGIZER "Good Communication - Mission Impossible or a question of attitude?"

The importance of successful communication has been stressed by managers, scientists and consultants for 100 years. Where do we stand today? Have the tools that are supposed to support us made a breakthrough or, on the contrary, have they made communication more impersonal and purely efficiency-driven? Is it a mission to find the right level of quality and quantity? And why do employees - regardless of how communication is actually organised - always complain about inadequate communication by the organisation and managers? Do we communicate too much? Too little? Or do we overlook the essentials?

Together with Fabian Kienbaum (Chief Empowerment Officer of Kienbaum Consultants International) and Jenny von Podewills (Co-founder of the Berlin HR Tech start-up Leapsome) we discussed the future of meaningful communication. We dealt with the question of how communication can be designed in an increasingly digital and accelerated time. What makes good communication and how do we make it possible through digital tools? What are the advantages of future tool communication and how can we compensate for the disadvantages? We talked about how to design communication in and between teams, even across continents. It became clear that attitude and leadership play an enormously important role. My personal takeaways: principles, attitude and purpose should determine the way and form of communication. The tools should be adapted accordingly. Not vice versa.

Julia von Winterfeldt has created a real space for personal exchange. Thank you very much for the fantastic experience and the insightful exchange with Fabian Kienbaum, Jenny von Podewills and the great audience.
